World Day for Safety and Health at Work 2021
04-28-2021
Since 2003, the International Labour Organization (ILO) has introduced the “World Day for Safety and Health at Work”: every year, on April 28, the entire international community reflects on the importance of a culture of safety that is as widespread as possible.
This year’s slogan is “Anticipate, prepare and respond to crises and invest now in resilient OHS systems”.
This means recognizing the impact that the global pandemic has had on our working life and the importance of building an efficient system for Health and Safety, resilient and adaptable.
The health and safety of our staff, whether direct or contract employees, is an absolute priority: no deadline is more important than ensuring that our people work in a safe manner and that their health in the workplace is guaranteed. The global pandemic has deeply marked the entire community: now more than ever all aspects related to health protection have had such a central role in the lives of individuals.
When realizing our projects, we manage potential risks on Health and Safety with competence and experience, mitigating them through a profitable collaboration with specialized partners, through the preparation and constant training of all professionals that are part of our organizational structure always keeping in mind that know how cultivated in our many years of experience in the sector.
The global pandemic has led us to identify and implement additional prevention and protection measures, compared to the ones we have always put in place, with the aim of eliminating or minimizing the virus transmission between our workers and outwards. We have employed “physical” and “organizational” measures, amongst these the use of innovative tools to measure the state of health of personnel present at the workplace but also to guarantee social distancing, a screening campaign, the use of smart working, an epidemiological study that has adopted an internally developed mathematical model with the aim of constantly monitoring and minimizing the virus transmission, training, information and awareness raising campaigns on topics related to health and safety adopting both physical and e-learning training methods. Moreover, we have revised the process of Business Continuity that, even if it already considered among the crisis scenarios that of a health emergency, didn’t include one of a Pandemic.
We constantly strive to improve our business performance in the field of Health and Safety at Work, identifying specific actions and targets that we share with our stakeholders through the Corporate Objectives Plan and the Corporate Sustainability Plan.
