Campania Aqueduct - San Bartolomeo drainage tunnel

The San Bartolomeo 800m length drainage tunnel, allows a water flow of 900 l/s of water participating to the overall Campania Acqueduct which allows to feed the entire city of Naples as well as the Naples and Caserta Provinces for a total population of ca 5million. 
The tunnel has been excavated through traditional methods. Together with such works, also the lifting plant and the discharge channel have been built.
